The United Nations Development Programme in collaboration with FAO and the Government has symbolically handed over equipment including fertilizers, farming tools, transport facilities, and cash to six farming groups in three chiefdoms in Kono District.
The United Nations Resident Coordinator in Sierra Leone Babatunde Ahonsisaid the project was a two-year project to help strengthen human security in the Kono District.
