Sierra Leone Police have disclosed that they found no ammunition and contrabands following examination of a forty-foot container they had suspected to have had such items. They noted only cartons containing gizzards were found in the container.
It took nearly forty-eight hours to examine the container at the Police Officer’s Mess in Kingtom, Freetown before they could come up with such a statement. Head of Police Media ACP Brima Kamara said it was part of policing to intercept any substance they consider unsafe for the public. The issue had been of public interest since last week when police received intelligence on the matter.
