As Parliament has passed into Law the Tobacco and Nicotine Control Act 2022 with a number of amendments, all public smoking, and advertisement on Tobacco in the electronic media have been banned in Sierra Leone, and heavy fines for any defaulters.
The instrument was enacted after the bill was earlier committed to the Legislative Committee for further scrutiny.
