A United States Congressional Delegation is in Sierra Leone for a two day working visit.

Just at first sight, the warm welcome the United States Congressional Delegates received defined the distinct partnership the United States hopes to establish with Sierra Leone in a bid to revive its past glories and make Sierra Leone a shining example in the World.

The Chairman, US House of Representatives Foreign Relations Committee Bio Honorable Gregory W. Meeks has been crowned as a Paramount Chief of Sierra Leone by President Julius Maada Bio.

The crowning ceremony took place at State Lodge, Hill Station in Freetown observed by citizens from all walks of life including paramount chiefs and the Congress men and women who gathered to witness the ceremony.

The High-Level Congressional Delegation arrived in Freetown on Saturday and later visited Bunce Island.
