National Associations or Organizations bringing together members of a particular ethnic group are not a new phenomenon in Sierra Leone; take, for example, Teglorma (or Let’s move ahead), for the Mendes, the Krio Descendant Union, and many other organizations among the seventeen ethnic groups in the country.
As Sorie Ibrahim reports, one of the majority ethnic groups in the country, the Temnes are also preparing to launch their own national organization called Tarakom, meaning: family.
