Disability issues are crucial to the development of the country, and they should not be treated with levity. For a long time, persons with disability have been faced with enormous challenges.
To address some of those challenges, the Ministry of Social Welfare in collaboration with the United Nations in Sierra Leone has officially launched the United Nations Partnership on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Programme. The partnership is to intensify the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in development programs.
