World Bank sponsored two more bridges to promote agriculture and trade

The government of Sierra Leone has signed a contract with Alown Engineering firm for the construction of two bridges at Thomparay River in Karene district, and Manowa River in Kailahun district.

The project, funded by World Bank, is to link farmers to the market. Each of the bridges costs about seven point four million dollars. The construction is expected to be completed within fifteen months.
