Alfred Peter Conteh found guilty in the hands of the law

Chairman of the APC Interim Transitional Governance Committee {ITGC} Alfred Peter Conteh has been found guilty for contempt of high court orders and fined fifty thousand Leones new notes or run a prison term of 30 days.

In his judgment Justice Adrian Fisher said the ITGC under the leadership of Alfred Conteh remains in full control of the APC party and that those who can’t work with the Interim body must resign.

Justice Fisher warned that the ITGC chairman has no powers to appoint executive members to act in the regions as they are not National Advisory Council (NAC) to form such bodies and his decision to appoint interim chairmen is illegal.

The Judge also said that there is nowhere in his earlier judgment where he stated that the chairman must receive donations on behalf of the party and a committee of five to be formed within the IGTC by simple majority to resolve membership issues and reinstate members during the party’s national convention.

Meanwhile, General Manager of Skye Bank Sierra Leone Ikubolaje Nicol who is charged with conspiracy to murder and perverting the cause of justice has been remanded on his first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of the Freetown Pademba Road Court.

According to the particulars of offence, the 46 year old accused, on diverse dates between the 15th and 16th October 2022 at Leicester village conspired with other persons unknown to murder Sinnah Kai Kargbo and other days thereafter fabricated evidence with intent to pervert the cause of justice.

The matter was adjourned to 30th November 2022 for further hearing.
