The Women Environmental Programme Sierra Leone (WEP-SL) has launched its Women Power 2030 Project on the theme “Feminist Accelerate Action for Sustainable Development.” The project aims to ensure gender equality in leadership roles in climate and climate-related activities and provision of skills to restore the environment.

It also seeks to create policies that will empower women to be lead contributors in putting an end to deforestation and drought.
