Victims of the government wharf fire incident have called on the government and nongovernmental organisation for help. They made this called during SLBC visits to the community.
The unfortunate incident at the government wharf community left widespread damage to properties and the community which is home to many. The effects are still highly significant to those affected.
The stenches of burnt properties are no doubt still visible.
Karim Bangura who once holds a two room apartment said he and his friends have resulted to sleeping in stalls. According to the some of the residents, since the unfortunate incident took place they have not received any help for anybody which will help them heal from the tragic incident and they are hoping that the government and others organisations will intervene. As it stands now, these people are still struggling to survive and heal from this incident. Nothing is too small to help them survive.
