MOD retires Thirty Seven officers from the republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces

A press release from the Ministry of Defence has announced the retirement of Thirty Seven officers from the republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces. This decision stemmed from the Defense Council’s meeting held on the 18th of January, 2024 which endorsed the retirement of the officers.The officers ranked from Second Lieutenant to Colonel.

Six  of the Officers were voluntarily discharged, eight were compulsory discharged on grounds of Absent without Leave, eighteen were compulsory discharged on grounds of subversion and five were compulsory discharged on grounds of misconduct.

The release also states that the details of the affected officers will be published in the Sierra Leone Gazette.
